The MU.SA Museum : For some years Salò has been enriched by the prestigious MU.SA museum which hosts very popular events and exhibitions.
The Duomo and the historic center: the Duomo Church, dedicated to Santa Maria Annunziata , is the most important place of worship in Salò. Externally it appears as a rather humble and simple construction, the spectacularity of the Church is found inside, where very important works are preserved. It is possible to admire the superb frescoes, the work of Vassillacchi l’Aliense, and paintings by Moretto, Veronese and Romanino. Absolutely to visit is also the historic center with its ancient majestic buildings and statues along the promenade, which tell moments of history.
The Church Madonna del Rio – The church dedicated to the Madonna del Rio rises in a small valley behind Salò, shortly after the hamlet of Renzano.
Tradition has it that the sanctuary was erected in the eighteenth century on the site of an apparition of the Madonna in a cave dug in the Rio, where, on a white stone, she would have left the imprint of her foot.
The church is the point of arrival of a walk, very dear to the Salodians.
The most famous towns of Lake Garda are a stone’s throw from Salò, such as Gardone Riviera with its Vittoriale degli Italiani and the Heller Botanical Garden.
